# Photography

I like photography, I like photos, I like gear, mostly enjoy taking photos. I'm not particulary skill at any of these. I do post photos semi regularily to:
* mastodon; because I enjoy the up-to-four per post limitations, the social enforcement of useful alt-text is good for me, and it's the one place where useful hashtags doesn't feel gross and/or try-hard
* instagram; because this is a world where it's hard to avoid Facebook (I see you meta, we know what you really are) products entirely and a dumb photo with a silly caption still appears to be a strong "engagement signal". Post a phot, get less dumb stuff in their ecosystem 🤷🏽.
